Não perceber tudo o que se ouve nas músicas e nos filmes é perfeitamente compreensível. 

Tal pode se dever à velocidade a que falam e ao próprio som dos instrumentos em segundo plano. 

Para além disso é muito difícil dominarmos todas as particularidades do Inglês nas diferentes partes do mundo. 

Por exemplo, entre um filme americano e um britânico podes encontrar diferentes sotaques e diferentes palavras para a mesma coisa.

Poderemos também encontrar linguagem específica de um determinado grupo profissional ou sócio-cultural e alguma linguagem informal e até grosseira.
